INDIAN ADVENTURE - 10th October - Trek day 3
Today we walked up all day! It was better than yesterday as a lot more of the walk was in the shade. We stopped for tea in the morning at a tea shop where most of us bought socks!

Then onto another tea shop for lunch. Lunches on this trip are curries prepared by the support team and generally hot and ready to eat when we arrive! At lunch time I bought some postcards to send to some of my supporters (apologies to those who didn't get one) so had plenty to keep me busy. We also had an ideation session to develop ideas for Save the Children to generate more income in the UK. It was nice to sit in the sun and use our brains, perhaps we should do more ideation outside.

More climbing after lunch and the we reached the highest campsite of our trek - and what a fantastic campsite it was! We are at 3000m and the views are great. Saw lots of large birds soaring as we walked up and at the top. Mostly griffin vultures but I also saw a lamagier. We saw high peaks in one direction and back down to Dharamsala and the plain in the other.

The sun set was beautiful with the clouds lifting off the mountains.

It was cold up here - close to zero and I had on most of the clothes I brought. Very thankful for my thermal top, duvet jacket and fleecy leggins! Bit of rather surprising luxury tonight - we were given hot water bottles!
