Follow my adventures in India on the Trek Blog!

During my trip (4th to 16th of October) there will be a blog maintained with updates on what is happening to us all! The address is:

www.save100000lives.com going into the Global Challenge part. This is not live as I type but should be after the 4th.

£25 Raised from Stocks at NTG away day

The stocks lived on again at the NTG away day on the 7th of September. This time I was accompanied by Neale Harrison the Category Group Director for NTG. Fortunately we had a very hot day so it was not too bad to be pelted with wet sponges.

I owe thanks to Neale for his participation - I don't think you'd catch many of the other Category Group Directors being such good fun.

Also thanks to Alex and her dad who painted and built the stocks respectively. They have now been returned and Alex's dad can use the wood for other projects!

Great Yorkshire Run- Sunday 9th September

On Sunday Alex and I ran the 1st ever Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield. This was a 10k race and all part of the training for the trek! I finished in 56 minutes and 31 seconds which I was pleased with. On the Friday we had our annual away day with work where we participated in an 'It's a Knockout competition'. I ended up with very stiff thigh muscles from trying to get over an inflated slope covered in water and soap so quite happy to survive!

Might have some photographs later as Alex's family (who live in Sheffield) were there to support so took several pictures.

Reckitt Benckiser Charity Ball for Save the Children

The accounts are just being finalised for the Summer Ball on the 10th of August and the total stands at a great £2356.05 (plus the £35.10 from the stocks). The accounts are currently being checked and then ceques will be issued that Alex and I can add to our accounts. This will take my total well over £4000!
